We recently started doing farm tours and already we've been overwhelmed with responses and requests. Actually people have been asking about tours for a couple of years and we finally got around to making it happen.
Tours last about two hours and cost $60 per person ($30 for pre-teen children, free for children under 3). Reservations are required in advance. We do tours only on Thursdays at 10 a.m. You can make a reservation by emailing me and payment will be collected the day of the tour. Credit cards are accepted. Directions to the farm will be forwarded with a confirmation of the date you have selected.
The tour consists of walking our fields and covers all aspects of growing pineapple. You will see pineapple as it develops through all its stages: the red heart, flowering, and of course ripening fruit. We will plant a pineapple together and you will experience the ultimate experience of tasting a personally harvested field ripened pineapple — nothing compares to the taste of a Kauaʻi Sugarloaf Pineapple picked fresh in the field.
The tour concludes with a complimentary freshly made Paulie's Pineapple Phrosty, a frozen delight made from only 100% Kauaʻi Sugarloaf Pineapple that tastes like ice cream, so much so you'll swear there has to be dairy and sugar in it. T-Shirts and freshly harvested Kauaʻi Sugarloaf Pineapple will be available for sale. Pre-packaged Kauaʻi Sugarloaf Pineapple for the plane is also available for purchase at the end of the tour.
