Planting Kauaʻi Sugarloaf White Pineapple in Hawaiʻi

Paul and Panda

Paul has been a busy little beaver.  With his #1 assistant, our little Parson Russell Terrier, Panda, he has planted another 500 Kauaʻi Sugarloaf White Pineapple plants.  Paul’s extensive hands on experience with good old fashioned traditional propagation techniques has rewarded him.  That and too many to count hours of work has allowed Hole in the Mountain to keep planting new fields so we can continue to enjoy Sugarloaf Pineapple year round.  The myth that Sugarloaf is a summer crop will fade away as we work hard to bring back some of the earlier days in Hawaiʻi, when Sugarloaf was more readily available.

P.S. see you this Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at the Kukui’ula Gourmet Farmers Market at the Kukui’ula Shopping Center in Poipu.  I’ll have plenty of free samples of just picked Kauaʻi Sugarloaf White Pineapple for you to try.
